Upper Gastroenterology
Heartburn and other symptoms of GERD and peptic ulcer disease
Heartburn, regurgitation of liquids and/or food, upper abdominal pain, and other symptoms of GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) are experienced by nearly 20% of the US adult population at least once a week. Dr. Stone can help.
Upper Endoscopy (EGD) is the best diagnostic tool for evaluating patients with symptoms of GERD. This test allows Dr. Stone to check the lining of your upper digestive tract to diagnose any abnormalities of these areas. Before and during the procedure, you will be giving a smooth, fast-acting sedative that will make you feel relaxed and comfortable.
Dr. Stone also cares for patients with peptic ulcer disease. Peptic ulcers are small craters in the lining of the stomach or duodenum. Common symptoms include pain centered in the upper abdomen, and/or bleeding.
Lower Gastroenterology
Colon cancer screening and colorectal health
Colon cancer screening is one of the most important things you can do to safeguard your health, so don’t delay. Dr. Stone has performed thousands of colonoscopies for over 25 years, with an excellent track record you can trust.
We take an extra effort to make colonoscopy as comfortable as possible for you. This extra effort begins with education during your office or virtual visit. Dr. Stone explains the procedure in detail, and will discuss any concerns. He will reassure you about your safety and comfort. At the time of your procedure you will be given a fast-acting sedative to keep you relaxed and comfortable.
