At Tri-County Surgical Partners, you will be in the experienced hands of Dr. David Stone, a compassionate board-certified surgeon.  Dr. Stone’s inclusive bilingual practice has been serving a diversity of patients, their families, and physicians across the greater Fort Worth area (Tarrant, Parker, Hood counties) for over 25 years.

Professional Credentials

Dr. Stone graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine – Midwestern University.  He completed a residency in General Surgery at Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, and served as a resident on the Renal Transplant and General Surgery Service at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan.

Dr. Stone is Board-Certified in General Surgery.   He is a Fellow and member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and served as a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.

Trained by surgeons and gastroenterologists, Dr. Stone is skilled as a surgeon, and as a GI endoscopist, familiar with the anatomy of the gastro-intestinal tract.  He has recently shifted his scope of practice to one of prevention and diagnostic screening, including the early detection of colon polyps.

Dr. Stone is an Associate Professor and faculty member at the TCU Fort Worth School of Medicine, and, mentor, teacher, and advisor to TCU Pre-Med students.  He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UNT Health Science Center.

Personal Interests

Dr. Stone is an avid oil painter, with commissioned canvases, and exhibitions.  He is also proud of his accomplishments in ballroom dancing, which, like any learned technique, requires repetition, attention to detail, and precision of trained movement. Mastery of a learned technique is a source of pride for this surgeon, in his professional and personal life.
