At Tri-County Surgical Partners, you will be in the experienced hands of Dr. David Stone, a compassionate physician with over 25 years of experience in the art of healing. Dr. Stone has been serving patients, their families, and physicians in the greater Fort Worth area (Tarrant, Parker, Hood counties).
Dr. Stone graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine – affiliated with Midwestern University, Illinois. In addition to his internship, Dr. Stone completed a four-year residency in General Surgery at Beaumont Hospital (formerly Botsford General), a university-affiliated medical center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He served as a resident on the Renal Transplant and General Surgery Service at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Stone’s focus training on precision and attention to detail in the practice and art of surgery has served his patients well.
Dr. Stone is Board-Certified in General Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow, and a Life Member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Stone is a teacher and mentor. He is an Assistant professor of Surgery at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), where he teaches medical students and serves as Residency coach/advisor. Dr. Stone is an Adjunct Professor at Texas Christian University (TCU), where he teaches a semester credit course to Pre-Med students. He also serves as an advisor to the Pre-Health Professions Institute at TCU as well as a faculty member of the new TCU and UNTHSC Medical School. Additionally, Dr. Stone serves as a trainer of surgical residents at HCA Medical City Hospital Fort Worth.
Dr. Stone is an avid oil painter, with commissioned canvases, and exhibitions. He is particularly proud of his accomplishments in ballroom dancing, which, like surgical technique, requires repetition, attention to detail, and precision of trained movement. Mastery of a learned technique is a source of pride for this surgeon, in his professional and personal life.
